RESILIENCE / QUESTIONS BEFORE DESIGN

Make the campus
resilient by design.

Resilience is not a single wind number or backup system. It is a set of tested choices for reliable power, safe operating envelopes, cooling, communications, staged capital, and community readiness.

Work through the questions ↓
01 / PRACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS

Protect what must run.
Flex what can wait.

Treat the AI and manufacturing commitments as critical loads. Evaluate mining as flexible only after the serving utility confirms operating rules, control requirements, and any curtailment terms. Size renewables and storage against hourly loads and reliability requirements, not annual energy alone.

POWER

Get a written utility pathway first.

Confirm serving utility, capacity, interconnection, upgrade cost, energization date, tariff, demand charges, and reliability history for the selected parcel.

WIND + STORAGE

Compare options with hourly data.

Model a wind PPA, ownership, grid supply, curtailment, firming, and storage against the actual demand profile. Test low-wind and high-price periods.

COOLING + WATER

Design for the local environment.

Validate heat rejection, dust protection, water availability and rights, cooling performance, noise, and the effect of seasonal extremes.

OPERATIONS

Separate systems and priorities.

Define electrical protection, network segmentation, monitoring, safe shutdown, spare equipment, maintenance response, and recovery procedures.

CAPITAL

Keep business cases legible.

Track ZIA manufacturing, AI, mining, and wind costs by entity and project. Document shared-cost allocation and do not count one incentive against the same cost twice.

COMMUNITY

Plan local value with local partners.

Set measurable workforce, supplier, education, and emergency coordination goals with regional stakeholders before presenting them as committed benefits.

02 / QUESTIONS FOR FEASIBILITY + INVESTORS

What should the next
study answer?

These are the questions that will turn the energy and infrastructure thesis into a design basis.

POWER

How many MW are firm, when can they be energized, and at what all-in cost?

What utility studies, upgrades, and agreements support the answer?

WIND

Is the first route a PPA, ownership, or a development partnership?

What parcel, interconnection queue, transmission path, and hourly output data support it?

RESILIENCE TARGET

What uptime must AI services and manufacturing meet?

What events must the design withstand, and how long must each critical load ride through an interruption?

WATER + COOLING

What cooling design meets server and miner requirements with verified water availability?

Which loads use water, what is the annual and peak demand, and what approvals apply?

MINING FLEXIBILITY

What share of mining load can curtail, how quickly, and under what contract?

How are AI, manufacturing, equipment life, and mining economics protected?

FINANCE

Which entity owns each asset, and how is each round tied to deliverables?

What project is funded by the $500K pre-seed, the proposed $2M seed, or later capital?

RECOMMENDED ORDERFirst secure parcel and utility evidence. Then build hourly load and renewable cases, cooling and water studies, customer validation, and staged cost estimates. Define reliability and curtailment requirements before selecting storage, turbines, or backup systems.
03 / THE INVESTOR LENS

One vision.
Four diligence tracks.

The platform story is strongest when the initiatives connect through a clear sequencing plan while retaining separate risk and capital boundaries.

Vision + manufacturing

Define the product, eligible manufacturing output, IP ownership, technical milestones, customer evidence, and grant fit.

AI data center

Secure an anchor workload, service requirements, reliable power, fiber, cooling, and cost per unit of delivered compute.

Bitcoin mining

Prove miner selection, power cost, uptime, site service, curtailment controls, and downside economics.

Wind + grid

Compare PPA and ownership; model output, interconnection, firming, transmission, storage, and delivered cost.
